Here goes the list.-Carbs removed, cleaned -APE Red Billet Manuel cam chain adjuster( stock ones suck, allow too much slack on deceleration, plus they wear out, this one never will). Lots of work done in the last year on this bike. Bike has been garaged its whole life! The paint and plastics are proof. First 600cc sport bike to do the 1/4 mile in under 11 seconds!!! This is the first year of this model.

Currently have body fairings removed ( I think it looks better without them) I can put them back on if you would like to see the bike with them on. Small dent in the tank from when it fell over in a moving van from previous owner. Very clean bike, seat is in excellent condition.

It has never been outside except when ridden. The bike has been well maintained and runs well. The gas tank has been lined with Red Kote. It does have some marks, but it is gorgeous overall as you can see.
I have had the bike for about 10 years. I purchased the bike from the second owner who purchased it from a neighbor who was the original owner. The first two owners in Michigan kept the bike inside.
This was the first year for the F2 as it replaced the 600 Hurricane. I weigh 175 pounds and tightened it up a couple of notches. I also have the fork to adjust the shock.
I have two 1960’s Pontiac muscle cars, two small boys (one of which is autistic) and a demanding job so I suppose something needs to go for now. Why am I selling it? This is not what I really wish to do, but I cannot keep up “all my engines”, as my wife says. I think it is one of the first really beautiful sport bikes and would fit nicely into someone's bike collection. It was picked as the best sport bike by Cycle magazine in its October 1991 issue, which I have.
Good luck and ride safe!RARE 1992 Honda CBR 600F2 Clean original unmolested survivor - Turn Key rider ! !! ! 1992 was a good year for Honda Doohan nearly beat Rainey for the 500cc title on the Big Bang NSR500, Duhamel dominated AMA on the CBR F2, the stunning NR750 was released and the CBR 600F2 easily won 600cc shootouts while garnering huge sales.but few of them survive today as they left the showroom in 1992. (The 1969 Judge is not going anywhere!) You can see the bike in Kernersville, NC, and you can watch me ride it! I rode it the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and it ran well. I can always sell the 1968 Firebird 400 for a lot more money and keep the bike. If it does not sell, I may keep it. I purchased this bike with 8,000 miles so I have ridden it 10,000 miles.
Few stock original low mileage examples like this survive today. Yes, Honda produced a lot of F2's, but most were tossed down the road, raced or otherwise abused. Finding classic sport bikes of this era in this type of condition is exceedingly difficult. Always stored indoors, maintained religiously and as it shows, cared for very lovingly. It has been ridden, around 800 miles per year.
Small things like the warning stickers are all intact, the gauges are immaculate, switchgear and original keys in great shape. The bodywork is all original and shows some small wear in a few other areas but by and large is in incredible condition for the age. Though not 100% perfect the bike is very close, there is a tiny bit of rash on the left engine cover from the first owner, also a small scratch on the left side tail cowl. The valves were inspected and adjusted at 12,000 miles. Fresh 50/50 coolant, oil / filter, newer battery, chain cleaned and lubed and new brake fluid front and rear.
The cam chain was moved to the right end of the crank to eliminate one crank journal, and compression was bumped up from 11.3:1 to 11.6:1. The CBR600F2 had a liquid-cooled DOHC engine with a 65mm x 45.2mm bore and stroke that was even more over-square than the original at 63 x 48mm. The bike also had side mounted air scoops but they fed cool air under the tank and not directly into the 6.2-liter airbox. With lighter pistons, crank and con rods, it was able to achieve a 500-rpm bump in the rev-limit to 13,000 rpm. The older model's 32mm round-slide units.
The cams were actually designed with midrange power in mind and the excellent cylinder head flow was rumored to be the secret to the top end power.
